Rogue Traders

Unfortunately, we now have rogue traders operating in your area. These so-called locksmiths are mainly advertising on Google Sponsored listing, promising a low call-out fee, but in fact, this will rise considerably once on site, and they use all kinds of tactics to get you to pay for parts that are not needed!!

All we can do as a company is warn potential customers of this because our complaints to Google / Trading Standards & BBC Watchdog have gone unanswered.

These companies target the elderly and single women mainly, and we have seen numerous invoices left by these cowboys for up to £1000 for completely unnecessary works. These companies can usually be noticed as they will show a London or international number.

Please be very aware that this goes to a call centre either in London or abroad. If you are ever unsure then please just do some investigations check the company IS local and check out their reviews if you find any company is difficult to enquire this information its more then likely its a fraud company who is hiding something.

Another way to be suspicious is if they cannot give you an accurate quote for basic things like lockouts or lock changes. Always say to yourself, if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.
Please also be aware of the locksmith industry of Checkatrade, who now unfortunately have rogue National locksmiths on their platform.
